Karioi
Our most popular tour - just over three hours of beautiful
and dramatic coastal vistas, stopping briefly at Wainui Reserve
before proceeding to Te Toto Gorge to view the site of ancient
Maori rock gardens and enjoy views from Port Waikato in the
north to Mt Taranaki in the south. We continue around the
upper slopes of Mt Karioi to Ruapuke Beach travelling on the
famous Whaanga Coast Road, a favourite of many top international
rally cars drivers, then on to Bridal Veil Falls before returning
to Raglan.

Veil Falls
A scenic drive through rural farmland followed by an easy
ten minute walk through lovely native bush, following the
Pakoka River, to view these beautiful falls which are higher
than Niagara Falls! There are two good viewing points at the
top, one halfway down and a walk way over the river at the
bottom of the falls to an undercover viewing point.

The Pipiwharauroa
Walking and Biking Trail takes you over privately-owned farmland
on the Wharauroa Plateau, crossing steep to rolling terrain,
across a 18 kilometre return trip. At 430 metres above sea
level, the trail winds over the Te Uku Wind Farm site and
offers 360 degree views across the greater Waikato, to include
Raglan, Kawhia and Aotea harbours, and on a clear day, Mt
Taranaki.
