Tour around Mount Karioi


Our most popular tour - just over three hours of beautiful and dramatic coastal vistas, stopping briefly at Wainui Reserve before proceeding to Te Toto Gorge to view the site of ancient Maori rock gardens and enjoy views from Port Waikato in the north to Mt Taranaki in the south. We continue around the upper slopes of Mt Karioi to Ruapuke Beach travelling on the famous Whaanga Coast Road, a favourite of many top international rally cars drivers, then on to Bridal Veil Falls before returning to Raglan.

Te Toto Gorge


A spectacular and scenic drive along the famous Whaanga Coast Road, which is used by many top international rally cars drivers, via Wainui Reserve and Whale Bay and then on to Te Toto Gorge to view this dramatic natural amphitheatre, once the site of extensive Maori rock gardens. Enjoy the captivating coastal views across the Tasman Sea.

Bridal Veil Falls


A scenic drive through rural farmland followed by an easy ten minute walk through lovely native bush, following the Pakoka River, to view these beautiful falls which are higher than Niagara Falls! There are two good viewing points at the top, one halfway down and a walk way over the river at the bottom of the falls to an undercover viewing point.

Around Raglan


We take you to Raglan's most interesting and scenic spots and also tell you some of the history of Raglan town - the oldest European settlement in the Waikato. We include a visit to the world class surf spots - made famous by Bruce Brown's surf film "The Endless Summer"

Once we have passed Te Toto Gorge we proceed through Ruapuke farming community to the coarse black sand of Ruapuke Beach, known to the locals for a surfing spot where international surfing completions take place and the beach is also know for surfcasting fishing.

A tour especially for those who want to walk over scenic Mt Karioi. We drop you off at the beginning of the track on one side of the mountain and pick you up at the end of the track on the other. You can commence from either Te Toto or Ruapuke. (Or you can return to where you started and be picked up from there)

The Pipiwharauroa Walking and Biking Trail takes you over privately-owned farmland on the Wharauroa Plateau, crossing steep to rolling terrain, across a 18 kilometre return trip. At 430 metres above sea level, the trail winds over the Te Uku Wind Farm site and offers 360 degree views across the greater Waikato, to include Raglan, Kawhia and Aotea harbours, and on a clear day, Mt Taranaki.

Four Brothers Track

This tracks features superb 360 degree views and impressive limestone bluffs. It provides the opportunity to walk over farmland with sheep, cattle and goats close at hand. A moderate climb through bushleads to the Reserve's southern boundary and open farmland.

Waitakaruru Arboretum & Sculpture Park

A former quarry carved into a Waikato hillside has been transformed into a magnificent 17 hectare garden and arboretum. The Waikato Sculpture Trust holds three exhibitions annually at The Sculpture Park, which at any given time there are at least 50 sculptures to discover along the 2km long nature trail.
